Architectural & Structural Castings

The example shown is a purpose-made cast steel forked connector, used in the construction of the Clydebank Tourist Village. The connectors, joined with 8.8 grade steel pins, were cast with a spigot and shoulder size to suit the internal and external diameters of the tube. Tubes were square cut to length and butt-welded to the casting. The castings were formed in grade A1 steel.
