Moulding
The moulding facility is divided into two sections.
The Jobbing Shop which has an Alpha-Set sand system is serviced by a 15
tonne per hour continuous sand mixer. This part of the foundry caters for small
to medium runs in all grades of material with a weight range of 1 Kg up to a
maximum of 4500 Kg. With the extensive range of moulding boxes most shapes
and sizes are within our capability.
The batch production foundry also has the Alpha-Set sand system for moulds
which are serviced by the 250 Kg melting unit. Small to medium runs along
with specials provide the normal throughput for this part of the foundry.
